What does the name Vapiano mean?
The name Vapiano is from the Italian proverb: Chi va piano va sano e va lontano. This translates as: people with a relaxed attitude live a long and healthy life.
How long has Vapiano been around?
We opened our first Vapiano on October 22, 2002 in Hamburg.
Why is there no Vapiano in my town?
Vapiano is constantly expanding. At www.vapiano.com check under »locations« for our list of planned openings, your town will certainly be on this list soon!
As Vapiano is a SE, can I buy shares?
Unfortunately Vapiano SE shares are not traded on the stock market.
What does SE actually mean?
A Societas Europaea (short SE) is a legal form for a corporation in the European Union. With this form the EU allows for founding of societies with standardized and uniform legal principles.

IN THE RESTAURANT

Why does Vapiano not take table reservations?
We want our guests to feel relaxed about coming to Vapiano at any time, whether you had planned to or were just in the area. You should always be able to find space in our restaurants, if not, our staff are always on hand to help you find that perfect spot.And remember, Vapiano is open 364 out of 365 days of the year.
Are children welcome at Vapiano?
All children are welcome at Vapiano. Just ask any of our chefs for our children’s menu. We have the most comfortable high chairs in London, space to put park your buggy’s and a changing area for the little ones. Your kids will love watching our chefs prepare the delicious fresh food, we even have steps for them to stand on whilst watching the action!
Do you have WIFI?
We have free WIFI available to all our guests.
Why is there no television?
Vapiano is a place to relax and escape from the world. You can meet up and catch up with friends and family without any distractions. There is so much to look at in Vapiano, that you simply will not miss it.
Why do we have our chip card system?
The chip card gives you total freedom to do what you want, when you want. Sit where you choose, eat and drink when you would like, change tables whenever you like, and you will never get stuck with paying for somebody else’s food and drink again.
What happens if I lose my chipcard?
Each chip card is worth £50. You can put £50 worth of food/drink on the card. Should you lose the card, please let the management know asap. They will everything they can to help resolve the situation.
Which means of payment can I use?
In Vapiano you can use Cash, Delta, Maestro, MasterCard, Visa Card and American Express.
Do you have vouchers?
Vapiano (London) currently does not sell vouchers.
Is there a smoking area at Vapiano?
We have an outside area where our guests can smoke.
Why are the tables so large in Vapiano restaurants?
Our large tables make it perfect for friends to get together, we love the idea of eating with lots of space. There is plenty of room for everybody and you often see strangers sharing tables chatting about their new experiences at Vapiano.

PRODUCTS

Why do we cook with fresh pasta?
Vapiano makes no compromises when it comes to freshness. As pasta is the heart of Vapiano, it’s important to us that we produce fresh pasta daily (in our pasta manifattura) and prepare our dishes right in front of our guests.
Is everything fresh?
Everything is produced fresh in house. You can watch our pasta and dolci being produced in our Pasta Manifattura. All our sauces, dressings, pesto, pizza dough,… are completely home made. Only the ciabatta and the Pasticceria San Marco are delivered to our door by carefully selected producers.
How often do you change the specials?
We change our specials every two months. We are always looking to create new specials with seasonal ingredients.
Can I takeaway?
All our dishes are available to takeaway. Check out our beautiful, funky takeaway packaging, you’ll want to keep it forever!
How can I get involved in creating my dish?
All our guests can personalize their dishes. Simply let your chef know if you have any special requirements, we can add garlic, chilli, extra meat, vegetables. Our chefs can also advise you on the best pasta to have with your dish.
You’ll find, olive, chilli and balsamic oil on your table along with salt and pepper sitting alongside our fresh basil which you can use to flavour your dishes.
Why did you take my favorite dish from the menu?
We are always trying to offer our guests new flavor experiences. Occasionally one recipe has to make room for a delicious new one Keep your eyes open as many of the old favourite’s pop up as specials.

Why does Vapiano not deliver?
To guarantee the quality and freshness of our food, we like you to experience it in our restaurant.
Is it possible to buy the furniture or the clothing of the staff?
Unfortunately, the furniture and staff uniform is not available to buy.
